Pot Holder – Bunga Kesidang (Bread Flower)

The blue floral printed known as Bunga Kesidang or Bread Flower from Melaka on the pot holder design was famously worn on women’s head as an accessory back in the year. Its an official flower for Melaka State in Malaysia. Nowadays, the traditional community of Melaka uses the ‘Kesidang flower’ to groom the female’s hair, bride’s accessories and ritual ceremonies such as ‘tepak sirih’ and ‘bunga rampai’. ‘Kesidang’ represents the humble character and personality of the people of Melaka whom are friendly and courteous.
This tiny white flower has very nice fragrance like the “daun pandan” or pandanus leaves.
